To us, a lawyer is first of all a provider of services who commits himself fully to defend the interests of his client. We do our utmost to prevent or solve legal problems for you. Empathy with (the enterprise of) the client and acting quickly and decisively are part of this. Our accessibility is excellent due to the location of our office near the A12 motorway. Ample parking space is available.
Legal thoroughness
In order to achieve optimal results, a good knowledge of law and a command of legal skills are indispensable.
The first thing clients want to know from their lawyer is 'how the matter stands'. He must be able to explain this in clear language. We therefore consider a high level of knowledge to be very important. We expect every lawyer who has been associated with our office for a number of years also to specialise in his field, for example by attending a specialisation course at the Grotius Academy. This is not in order to show off erudition, but to be able to handle the cases entrusted to him in the best possible way.
At a fair rate
Our leading principle is that both the entrepreneur and the private client want value for money. We find it only logical that clients make a cost-benefit analysis when they retain the services of a lawyer. We also adjust our rates to this: for a small debt collection another rate must be charged than for consulting in a big transaction. Certain cases can be handled at a prearranged fixed price. Please do not hesitate to inquire about the possibilities.
How do we operate?
During the first interview, the work which has or may have to be carried out is discussed. If necessary, we take action immediately, for example when a period risks expiring or when a property has to be attached immediately. Also the terms under which your cases will be handled and the rate which we will charge to you, are discussed on this occasion. When the interview is over, the lawyer will confirm your instructions. It goes without saying that your lawyer remains in close contact with you during the further handling of your case. He or she is your regular contact.
Each month you will receive an itemised debit note for the work done by our office, unless no or almost no work has been done in the month concerned.
If a written advice is issued to you, then the question is mentioned first, followed by the answer: for that is what it is all about. Only then does the (legal) substantiation follow. The facts are specified as much as possible in an appendix.
